Suzanne Daly is an associate professor of English at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she specializes in Victorian literature and British Empire studies. She is the author of The Empire Inside: Indian Commodities in Victorian Domestic Novels, and has published articles on Charlotte Brontë, Charles Dickens, Elizabeth Gaskell, and Anthony Trollope.
