Profile: Molly Murphy

Student at Rouxbe Cooking School

After struggling for many years with chronic health problems and countless food allergies, I’m here to help others coping with food allergies, food intolerances and medically suggested diet changes. I believe that healthy, whole foods are our first defense against chronic health issues and unhealthy lifestyles.
She Believed was founded in 2014 and its name was inspired by the popular quote, “She believed she could, and so she did.”
Without dragging you too far into my personal life, I can say that without a doubt this quote outlines my personal philosophies and history so well that I feel particularly drawn to it. I believed in myself, my doctor, and in the power of nutrition … and you know what?
It changed my life. Forever.
You too have the power within you to change your life, one vegetable at a time. It sounds silly, but trust me, switching to a plant-based diet will empower you too! I’ll be your personal meal planner, nutritional sounding-board, and your plant-powered cheerleader!
I am currently attending Rouxbe Cooking School to become a certified plant-based kitchen professional. I have two years of experience cooking plant-based meals, and I’ve been working with adapting recipes to fit around food allergies since I catered my own high school graduation party in 2010.

Rediscovering How to Be a Tourist in Your Own Life

I think something as simple as a lack of a tea bag may have altered the course of my life. I must admit to this truth, so humbly delivered to me, because it feels as if a cosmic episode of falling dominoes was destined to remind me of an important lesson. I rediscovered how to be a tourist in my own life.
